The University of South Carolina celebrated International Education Week (IEW) — a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Education that celebrates the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. Each year, the university puts on a week-long series of events and activities to celebrate and promote international exchange!

The week’s signature event is the International Bazaar in which students and international student organizations set up tables with creative displays showcasing food, music and dancing that highlights and celebrate cultures from all around the world!

Some of the USC IAP students from China and Nigeria participated in the event to share their cultures with other USC students!

With 30 different events held throughout the week, there was no shortage of activities to participate in for students, faculty and staff of the University of South Carolina! Other popular events during IEW at USC were the IEW World Cup (shout-out to the USC IAP students from the U.A.E. for participating this year!) and the Carolina Productions Foreign Film Fest which showed seven different foreign films from Sweden to Cuba to India to South Korea and more!

We already can’t wait for next year’s International Education Week! Did you participate in any events? Comment below and tell us how they went!
