Soda City Farmers Market

soda-city-market

This summer, the USC International Accelerator Program (IAP) office took our IAP students to experience a classic Columbia, SC event: the Saturday Soda City farmers market. Every Saturday (year round!) a portion of Main Street is blocked off so numerous vendors can set up shop offering everything from fresh, locally grown produce to ethnic food and groceries, to baked goods and even clothes, jewelry and other small collectible items! Local food trucks even park along the streets of the market giving visitors food options to satisfy any craving from breakfast to lunch! If you’ve ever been to Columbia and haven’t visited the Soda City farmers market, you’re missing out!

Take a look at pictures of our IAP students and what they found at the farmers market!

The IAP group gathers outside their residence hall for a quick 10 minute walk to the market!

If you’re hungry for something, the Soda City Market probably has it,
including waffles and fresh strawberries from the Belgian Waffle Truck!

And of course, it wouldn’t be a market without a true southern delicacy, Shrimp and Grits!
