Become a Mechanical Engineering Specialist

Excellent teaching in small class sizes. Industry-sponsored projects. High-quality funded research. You’ll find it all in USC’s Master of Mechanical Engineering program. During your studies, you’ll build expertise in solid mechanics, materials processes, smart materials, manufacturing automation, concurrent engineering or other in-demand fields.

Areas of concentration for mechanical engineering graduate students include:

  • Design/Manufacturing
  • Mechanics/Materials
  • Thermofluid/Energy sciences
  • Sustainable Design Development

Students have the option of either an ME (Master of Engineering) or MS (Master of Science) degree. Pursuing an MS degree requires completing a thesis.
